Genesis

PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dungarpur started in 2007 temporarily with 80 students from class I to V in the DIET building located near the new bus stand. Later in 2016, the school shifted to its newly constructed modern building near Patela.
The new building of the school is located at Patela, Dungarpur near Murala Ganesh Temple. The school is located at a distance of 05 kilometers from the bus stand, Dungarpur and 07 kilometers from the railway station. Presently, there are two sections from class I to VIII and one section from class IX to XII. Science and Commerce streams are being run in the school in class XI and XII. A section of BALVATIKA-3 has been started from the session 2023-24.
The school is enriched with strong infrastructure, modern laboratories, lush green parks and play grounds. The school has its own secure building with all facilities. Modern laboratories of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics along with modern computer laboratory. The school is rich with modern laboratories and many facilities like modern computer laboratory, Atal Tinkering Lab, language laboratory, Art room, Music room and a medical room where a female staff nurse always remains ready to take care children.

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Dungarpur has its own unique identity as a renowned educational institution in the tribal district Dungarpur of Rajasthan. The school follows the 10 + 2 system of education affiliated to CBSE. The school provides all-round education to the students along with the teaching-learning process. To fulfill the goal of development along with the teaching-learning process, the school organizes various co-scholastic activities like sports, club activities , house activities, work experience, scouts and guides (children), computer education, music, AI, vocational including CCA and provides opportunities for education, adventure and thrill programs, moral and value education etc.
